From the the dazzling Southbank Centre Winter Market to the glorious backdrop of Christmas By The River at London Bridge City, find the perfect Christmas gifts for loved ones and enjoy plenty of street food, twinkles and socially distanced entertainment throughout the festive season at London's most popular Christmas markets.

Last year, the locations below hosted some of the top Christmas markets. Most of these pop-up London markets usually open in mid-November and many stay open until the New Year.

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, some Christmas markets have been cancelled and some locations are yet to be announced. But there are still plenty of markets to enjoy across the city, so get your eye for sparkle and appetite at the ready – just ensure to act responsibly when out and about.

Southbank Centre Winter Market

See the South Bank's riverside transformed into a wintry wonderland, where global cuisine and an artisan Christmas market come together in one sparkling location for Southbank Centre's Winter festival.

Amble past the traditional wooden chalets lining the banks of the Thames and pick up gorgeous stocking fillers from the Winter Market. Or, tuck into cheese-based food, cocktails and mulled wine underneath the glittering Christmas lights. 5 Nov-27 Dec

Westfield London Christmas Market

Last year, you could soak up the festive atmosphere at Westfield London. In addition to being a one-stop-shop for all your Christmas present needs, this shopping paradise hosted its inaugural Christmas market.

Here you can find unique gifts from independent, British retailers at the outdoor stalls and take a pit-stop at the covered bar to admire the huge Christmas tree with a seasonal tipple. TBC

Greenwich Christmas marketย 

Tick items off your Christmas shopping list while browsing Greenwich Market's 150 stalls, selling a range of stocking fillers, fashion items, crafts and original artworks. On selected Wednesdays throughout December, the market stays open late with festive music for added cheer. 2-23 Dec

Make sure to also wander around the ancient maritime neighbourhood of Greenwich, which is decked out with lights and festive goodies, and tuck into warming seasonal food served up at the many street food stalls. 

Kingston Christmas Market

Each November you can usually venture over to picturesque Kingston upon Thames, where you can search the riverside town's Ancient Market Place for unique Christmas gifts at the Kingston Christmas Market.

Get hands on at craft workshops at Christmas under the Canopy, a covered market found in King's Cross. Alongside creative activities, you can typically find mulled wine, carol singers and twinkling lights at Canopy Market.
