Rising Stars in the West End: Meet the cast of Beetlejuice the Musical, six feet under

A dead man walking is taking over the Prince Edward Theatre this summer, transforming the West End venue into a chaotic recreation of Tim Burton's box office hit with Beetlejuice the Musical. Taking centre stage on a set that shifts from a family home to the ghostly HQ, complete with the infamous black-and-white stripes, is Beetlejuice himself, sporting messy green hair and a grin to match his manic personality.
Portrayed by David Fynn, previously seen in the West End production of The School of Rock, Beetlejuice is our host for the night, more like a mischievous late-night presenter with nothing off limits. From orchestrating the Maitlands' deaths to convincing Lydia to bring him back to the land of the living, and even riding a giant sandworm, he keeps the audience entertained from start to finish.
Making her West End debut as Lydia is Hannah Nordberg, who previously played Olive Hoover in Little Miss Sunshine on Broadway and Emma in the TV series Euphoria. Nordberg plays the angsty teenage daughter struggling to adjust to life after her mother's death, sporting a dark gothic look to reflect her grief while delivering a showstopping performance of "Dead Mom". Aimee Atkinson stars as Delia, Lydia's soon-to-be stepmother and self-proclaimed life coach, who is determined to bring her spiritual guru into every situation imaginable. Atkinson brings infectious enthusiasm and plenty of quirky humour to the role, delivering some of the show's biggest laugh-out-loud moments.

Editor's pick: Discover a love-hate romance like no other in Hot Mess
After taking the Edinburgh Fringe by storm, the award-winning musical comedy Hot Mess has arrived at The Other Palace Theatre for a strictly limited summer season. One of the most original new musicals in London, this witty and heartfelt production reimagines the climate crisis as an unlikely romantic comedy.
Meet Earth (Danielle Steers), who, after billions of years of disastrous dates, has all but given up on finding "the one". That is, until she meets Humanity (Morgan Gregory). Guarded, quick-witted and still mourning her relationship with the dinosaurs, Earth puts Hu to the test before falling head over heels. What begins as a whirlwind romance soon spirals into something far more destructive as Humanity starts cultivating the land, mining for coal and oil, building sprawling cities and taking more than the planet can give. Before long, their love story becomes a toxic relationship packed with red flags, culminating in the universe's messiest breakup.
Created by the team behind 42 Balloons, Jack Godfrey and Ellie Coote, this two-person musical delivers huge energy with an infectious pop and hip-hop inspired score, razor-sharp lyrics and powerhouse vocals. Packed with laugh-out-loud moments while never shying away from the serious reality of climate change, Hot Mess cleverly frames one of the world's biggest challenges as a modern rom-com.
Don't miss your chance to catch Hot Mess at The Other Palace this summer, and see one of the most original shows in London right now.
