Smoking Goat Shoreditch

Yotam Ottolenghi protégé Francis Puyat serves up Asian-inspired sharing dishes, including a range of vegetarian options. Alternatively, pop in for a lunchtime box full of Asian delights.

The Bike Shed

Visit this cavernous cafe, bar and barber shop for American-themed comfort food, such as burgers and meat platters, as well as breakfast specials. You don’t need a Harley to get into The Bike Shed, but it probably helps. What’s more, you can have a trim while waiting.

Spoil yourself in this achingly cool Michelin-starred restaurant, whose modern British cooking is some of the best around. Picky eaters need not apply – the menu at The Clove Club is fixed and chosen by head chef Isaac McHale – but why not open your mind and taste buds to something new?

Dirty Bones

If you're seeking the ultimate comfort food look not further than Dirty Bones Shoreditch. If the funky interiors of the Grade-II listed building isn't enough to wow you, the New York-inspired menu surely will. Diners can chow down on tasty small plates and indulgent burgers like The Mac Daddy, a steak burger topped with pulled beef short rib, mac and cheese and an espresso spiked BBQ sauce.

Cay Tre

One of the first Vietnamese restaurants to open in London, Cay Tre is the brainchild of Saigon-native Hieu Trug Bui who moved to the capital over 20 years ago.
