We love the Fan Zone, where you’ve got prime race viewing, can grab a drink and try out the racing simulators (harder than they look). For those who want to fully lean into it, there’s also a memorabilia wall packed with official F1 Drive merch, from tees to collectables.
Tottenham Hotspur Stadium has become a bit of an activity hub in itself, with experiences like the Dare Skywalk and stadium tours. We’d suggest making a day of it – especially if you’re already heading there for a match, concert or event.

Fairgame takes classic fairground games and gives them a modern revamp, dialling up the competition and pairing it all with delicious street food and fun cocktails.
We’d recommend throwing your belongings into the cloakroom – on busier days it can get warm, so light layers will help.
Your scorecard is registered against each game, so you can track your progress as you go. Some of the most popular games may mean joining a short queue, so it’s worth mixing things up rather than waiting around too long – they often quieten down while people grab a drink or bite to eat.
Best for: Competitive group nights out with food and drinks.
Good to know: Entry must be booked in advance, with an arrival time usually 30 minutes before you begin playing – the booking includes credits for games. There’re plenty of street food vendors inside, so it’s easy to grab food between rounds.

Take on the nine-hole mini golf courses, which will delight – and probably enrage – in equal measure. Navigate moving obstacles on Big Wheel and take on the launch pad at Meteorite, just be careful not to spin into orbit.
There’s plenty of space to grab a bite before or after your game, with street food vendors and lively bars throughout the venue.
Special events run throughout the year, especially around the holidays. For a true celebration, the Carnival Bottomless Brunch on Saturdays includes unlimited drinks, food and carnival games alongside your round of golf.Live DJs add to the atmosphere, and you can snap a memento on the photo podium – perfect for a group shot or the champion’s victory selfie.

For a truly unique experience, head to one of London’s most iconic museums after hours to see it in a completely different light. From wholesome craft workshops like crochet, to yoga sessions in the galleries, or even the famous Dino Snores for Grownups sleepover, there’s a real mix available at the Natural History Museum depending on what you’re after.
One event we think is not to be missed is the Silent Disco. Headphones on, we danced the night away, unashamedly singing at full blast in the iconic Hintze Hall beneath Hope, the enormous blue whale skeleton. Three DJs go head-to-head across different channels, so you can switch between genres and sing along to your favourites. There’s also a VIP option if you’re celebrating or just want that elevated view from the balcony.
We also love the curator-led events, which give you access to exhibitions without the daytime crowds – a calmer, more in-depth way to explore.
Best for: A fun, alternative night out in a famous London setting.
Good to know: These events are ticketed and often sell out quickly, so it’s worth booking in advance. Prices and formats vary depending on the event.

When: Mon-Thurs 9am-10pm, Fri 9am-11pm, Sat and Sun 8am-11pm
Duration: Approx. 2 hours (depending on the package)
London is a treasure trove of special spa experiences, but AIRE Ancient Baths is a particularly unique one, blending the past with the present in a truly immersive way. Housed within a historic building once home to the author of Peter Pan, J.M. Barrie, the experience feels like stepping into a world of quiet luxury from the moment you arrive.
We immediately felt looked after as soon as we stepped through the doors. The changing areas are beautifully designed and thoughtfully stocked with everything you could need, setting the tone for a calm, seamless visit. Down in the baths, it’s nothing short of spectacular - candlelit rooms, stone walls and a series of thermal pools to wander between at your own pace, all accompanied by soft, ambient music that even plays underwater.
We love how multi-sensory it feels – from the scent of orange blossom in the air to the contrast of warm and cold water, it’s designed to help you fully switch off. Without phones and with much of the experience enjoyed in near silence, we found it to be an incredible way to slow down and genuinely connect, whether that’s with a partner, friends or simply yourself.
There’s plenty to explore, from jet baths and cold plunges to saunas and quiet relaxation rooms. We loved the smaller tucked-away spaces and thoughtful touches like tea stations. We also tried the honey hair mask massage, which left us feeling deeply relaxed, and appreciated that staff come to find you when it’s time for treatments, allowing you to truly lose track of time.
Best for: A calming, luxurious escape from the city with a spa experience that feels truly different.
Good to know: Packages range from self-guided experiences with body scrubs and a glass of bubbles to more indulgent options with full-body massages and add-ons. Opening times may vary on holidays, so check ahead. Arrive 30 minutes early to complete your health questionnaire.

We loved this relaxed activity at BonBon Pottery Battersea – it’s such an easy way to catch up with friends, whether that’s a wholesome Sunday plan or something a little different for a celebration.
We learnt the hard way that it’s worth having a design in mind before you go. Otherwise, you can end up using your timeslot just deciding what to paint! That said, you really don’t need to be an artist – there are plenty of pieces to choose from, and it’s very much about giving it a go.
There’s lots of seating, making it great for both bigger groups and smaller catch-ups. You can order drinks while you paint, from coffee to cocktails, and if you fancy food before or after, you’re just a short walk from Arcade Food Hall and the rest of Battersea Power Station.

Step into a whole new world at Phantom Peak, an immersive theatrical experience where you become part of the story. You're free to explore at your own pace, interacting with characters, uncovering clues and shaping your own adventure as you go.
We love that no two visits are the same. You can follow your own path, pick up different quests, and even pay a little extra to join mini side missions with the live actors, which add an extra layer to the experience.
It’s as much about the atmosphere as it is aboutgameplay, and the food is surprisingly good too – don’t sleep on the mac and cheese.
Best for: Fans of theatre who love hands-on experiences.
Good to know: Phantom Peak is currently moving to a new location at Westfield Stratford City. Tickets for the new site are expected for summer 2026, so keep an eye out for updates.

Nearest Tube: Pudding Mill Lane (DLR) and Stratford Station (Jubilee, Central, DLR and Overground)
When: Tuesday to Sunday with afternoon and evening performances available
Duration: 1 hour and 40 mins
If you’re a fan of the pop-hit sensation, then ABBA Voyage is a must. With no phone recordings allowed, you really do have to see it to believe just how spectacular it is.
It’s not essential to dress up, but you’ll spot plenty of groups – especially those celebrating – in full 70s outfits, which adds to the atmosphere.
We think the production is what really sets it apart. The digital avatars are so lifelike it genuinely feels like the band are right there in front of you, backed by live musicians at certain moments, adding an extra layer of energy. Go for dance floor tickets if you’re planning a proper boogie, although we did notice plenty of people up on their feet in the seated sections too.
We may have left the arena with no voices left, but it was totally worth it.
Best for: Feel-good nights out with friends, music lovers and anyone up for a singalong.
Good to know: You can book a private Dance Booth (for 10–12 people) with seating, a private dance floor and a dedicated bar. A limited number of discounted tickets for ages 16–25 are also released daily.

As you enter the retro video store and slip through a Pepsi vending machine you step straight into the 90s at Bunga 90 – an iconic karaoke bar and restaurant in the heart of London.
We sang our hearts out in the Gwen Stefani room, decked out in plaid and packed with 90s memorabilia. There’s seating inside and you can order drinks straight to your private karaoke room, so you don’t miss a single moment.
Once our time was up, we headed to the main karaoke bar where, even midweek, there were plenty of people taking to the stage. Put a ticket in with the DJ to get your turnor, if you’re feeling cheeky, put your friend’s name in instead.
The drinks lean fully into the theme too, with playful 90s-inspired options, and there’s a solid food menu if you want to make a full evening of it.This place is built to overload your senses in the best way – it’schaotic, nostalgic, and so much fun, as long as you’re willing to fully lean in.
Best for: Group nights out where everyone’s up for singing, laughing and not taking things too seriously.

Nearest Tube: Covent Garden (Piccadilly) and Tottenham Court Road (Central line, Northern and Elizabeth)
When: Tues-Sun, 10am-10pm (closed Monday)
Duration: Approx 2 hours and 30 mins
Take on the ultimate game of deception at The Traitors Live Experience. Packed with high-stakes missions, bold betrayals and teamwork built around trust, you’ll need to pick your allies carefully.
This experience brings the series to life in a single session, giving you the chance to take part in the iconic Round Table, where players must complete challenges to win gold and ultimately uncover the Traitors.
Whether you’re a fan of the show or not, we found it hard not to get hooked. That said, we’d recommend familiarising yourself with the format beforehand, as it’s fast-paced and the host isn’t given much time to fill you in.
We also loved snapping photos with the props as background, for the full iconic look – including cloaks, banshee figures and a recreation of the official Scottish castle.
Best for: Fans of the hit show and groups who enjoy interactive games, strategy and a bit of friendly deception.
Good to know: Each game is designed for up to 14 players, but don’t worry if you’re a smaller group – we found playing with others adds to the experience and makes it feel even more realistic. If you don’t manage to grab a drink beforehand, you can order drinks to the lounge, where banished players can continue enjoying the game from a distance.

Nearest Tube: Liverpool Street (Central, Circle, Hammersmith & City, Metropolitan)

Duration: Approx. 1 hour and 30 mins
Ever watched shows like The Chase or Pointless and found yourself shouting at the telly, “I could do better than that!” Well, now's your chance to prove it.
Quiz Room was a favourite of ours for its competitive edge while still keeping things team based. Pairing up doesn’t necessarily make things easier either –with wild cards and twists thrown in, we didn’t always agree on the best strategy.
The questions feel current and varied, with a mix of pop culture, sport, general knowledge and a few curveballs along the way. We’d suggest grabbing a drink beforehand to get in the zone, then heading out for dinner nearby – Liverpool Street and Shoreditch have plenty of great options.
Pick your podium, buzz in and get playing.
Best for: Groups who love a bit of friendly competition, and anyone who’s ever wanted to step inside their favourite game show.

Playing is first come, first served, but people are generally good at sharing machines. Plus, you can enjoy themed cocktails while you wait your turn.
Best for: Casual, competitive fun with a nostalgic twist.
Good to know: Under 18s are only permitted on Sundays between 11am–3pm – all other sessions are strictly 18+.

We love the idea of putting your own mark on such an iconic London location. The Leake Street Graffiti Workshop gives you the chance to do just that, learning the basics of spray painting before creating your own piece on the tunnel walls.
The experience usually includes a short intro to the space, guidance from an artist, time to paint your own designin the tunnel, and a smaller piece to take home as a souvenir.
Best for: Creative people who want to unleash their inner artist in a historic setting.

Navigating each room, you’llencounter weird and wacky challenges where you’ll find solutions through the power of your senses (sound, sight, smell, touch and taste). From colourful ball pits to laser assault courses and optical illusions, there’s no shortage of entertainment. And if you get a little stuck, not to worry – a Master of Senses is on hand throughout to help.
What’s really lovely about this activity spot is that for every token you collect, a donation is made to SENSAS’ local charity partner, supporting people with disabilities.
SENSAS doesn’t offer food and drink; however, situated in Vauxhall, you’ve got plenty of quirky bars and delicious food spots nearby. We think Market Halls is a good option for big groups, as it covers several different cuisines in one place and often has live music.
Best for: Large groups and team building, especially if you enjoy getting stuck into hands-on challenges and testing your senses.
Good to know: Minimum group size is four people. Reach out to the venue for groups larger than 16. Given the nature of the experience, latecomers will be denied access, so be sure to arrive ahead of your start time.

We love that you encounter all the classic locations from the game, but instead of simply buying them, you must work together to complete hands-on challenges and mini games.
Once you’re done playing (whether you’ve won or just managed to stay out of jail), head to the award-winning Top Hat Bar and Restaurant for a celebratory drink. Expect themed cocktails and a solid food menu to round off your experience.

Gourmaze - Best for a food-fuelled London treasure hunt

When: Tours run daily –check availability when booking
Duration: Approx. 2-3 hours (depending on the route)
Not your average treasure hunt, Gourmaze is a fun group experience that combines solving puzzles while seeking out hidden food gems across the city.
The beauty of this experience is that you’re getting to see some of London's best neighbourhoods while uncovering its culinary riches. From a Royal-themed mystery tour along the Thames in “Shadows of The Crown” to conquering the streets of Shoreditch, one bite at a time, on “The Taco Trade” tour.
We tried The Talisman Treats, which was a brilliant introduction to Soho. Weaving our way from Fitzrovia to Covent Garden, chowing down on three tasty Asian street-food dishes, guided by clues from Confucius himself.
To reach each checkpoint, we unravelled the riddles, sought interactive clues and tapped into our surroundings to scout out each delicious stop.

Royal Albert Hall Guided Tour – Best for going behind the scenes of one of London’s most famous performance venues
Nearest Tube: South Kensington (District, Circle and Piccadilly)
When: Tours run daily at select times – check ahead of booking
Duration: Approx. 1 hour
If you’ve ever passed by or seen a performance at the Royal Albert Hall and wondered what goes on behind the scenes, the guided tour is a brilliant way to experience it from an entirely new perspective, led by experts who know the venue inside out.
Built as part of Prince Albert’s vision (hence the name) to create a cultural hub for arts and sciences, the Hall opened in 1871 and has been entertaining Londoners and beyond ever since. As we moved through the space, our guide brought its history to life, from its connection to the Royals to the many famous performances that have taken place here, along with plenty of lesser-known tales from its past.
One of the highlights for us was stepping into the auditorium itself from one of the highly coveted private boxes, getting a closer look at the stage, which has hosted everyone from world-renowned musicians to scientific lectures from the likes of Einstein. We also got a glimpse into the Royal Box, which is still used by the family and their guests to this day, including charity patrons.
We also loved the rotating art display inspired by the Hall’s rich history, including Peter Blake’s impressive artwork featuring hundreds of performers who have taken to the stage over the years. We’d suggest making the most of your visit by pairing the tour with a show in the evening – giving you a more rounded experience of the venue.
Best for: Music lovers, history fans and anyone curious about what goes on behind the scenes.

Dining and drinking experiences for adults in London
The Lost Estate - Best for immersive dining with theatre and live music
Nearest Tube: West Kensington (District) and Peckham Rye (Overground)
When: Select dates throughout the year

If you’re a fan of chic theatrics and opulent banqueting, then The Lost Estate is an immersive dining experience that really delivers. Spectacular stories unfold while you enjoy fine dining, themed cocktails and gripping live theatre and music.
With a rotation of ambitious shows, we’ve been transported to several fantastical worlds at their two London venues. From the unbridled glamour of 58th Street where audiences escape to 1930s New York in a jaw-dropping Jazz Age setting, to Le Chat Noir – a rebellious show that promises a raucous filled evening with art and anarchy.
What we love most is their attention to detail. Every inch of the space is on theme. Once you step inside, it genuinely feels like you’ve left London behind. Dressing up isn't required, but it adds to the ambience – we donned our best flapper fits for 58th street which definitely enhanced the evening as we felt truly immersed.
Best for: Special occasions, date nights or group experiences that feel truly different.
Good to know: Arrive early to soak up the atmosphere and enjoy a pre-show cocktail. Both matinee and evening performances are available, and discounts are sometimes offered throughout the year.
The Lucky Pig - Best for a vibrant cocktail-making class in an underground speakeasy

Nearest Tube: Great Portland Road (Metropolitan line)
When: Open Tuesday to Saturday, with class times varying
Duration: Approx. 1 hour and 30 mins
Step into The Lucky Pig for a lively cocktail-making class set in a hidden basement speakeasy.
At first glance, it feels like you've stumbled into a cosy reading club, but this underground space quickly reveals itself as a cocktail-lover's playground. Everything here is designed with mixology in mind, from the layout of the bar to the equipment used throughout.
We were introduced to the history of the cocktails as we sipped our welcome drink, learning how early bartenders - and even pharamsists - used citrus, juice and specialist tools to disguise the strength of alcohol during the Prohibition era. The Lucky Pig itself takes its name from two New York speakeasies, blending that history into the experience.
You’re then guided through the different types of shakers and equipment before getting hands-on. Each cocktail is demonstrated first, followed by your own attempt, with the mixologist sharing the story behind each drink as you go.
You just have to try the Flaming Coconut - not only is it fun to make, but it’s even more fun to drink. We also loved the Persephone, one of the most intricate drinks on the menu.
Best for: Cocktail lovers who enjoy getting hands-on while learning something new.
Good to know: Let the team know about any allergies in advance. You can stay on for drinks in the bar after your class, and midweek daytime sessions tend to be quieter.
Jazz brunch at Booking Office 1869 at St. Pancras London - Best for live jazz and stylish Sunday dining

Nearest tube: St Pancras (Northern, Piccadilly, Victoria, Circle, Hammersmith & City, Metropolitan)
When: Sundays, 12pm–3pm
Duration: Flexible
Set inside the grand St. Pancras London hotel, this jazz brunch is as much about the setting as it is the food. We were instantly struck by the soaring ceilings, warm lighting and towering palms - it feels somewhere between a historic hotel and a museum-like space.
We were seated right in front of the live jazz performers, a wonderful singer and pianist, who play throughout the three-hour brunch, creating a relaxed atmospheric soundtrack that blends modern favourites with classic tunes. You can dip in and out of the music - chat with friends or simply sit back and enjoy.
The food is just as memorable. We loved the waffles and popcorn chicken - a perfect mix of sweet, crunchy and lightly spiced - while the steak and eggs delivered a rich, satisfying brunch option with a perfectly jammy egg. We'd recommend sharing a few dishes so you can try more of the menu, and adding a couple of sides (the whipped smoked cod roe starter was a standout).
With attentive service, a central location just steps from the station and a setting that feels genuinely special, this is a brilliant option for a relaxed but elevated Sunday. Before you leave, make the time to visit the hotel's grand staircase - we couldn't help snapping a photo as a momento.
Best for: Music lovers, special occasions and relaxed, elevated brunches with friends
Good to know: Booking ahead is recommended, especially tables close to the live music. Other menus are also available on a Sunday, including a hearty roast.
The Murder Express - Best for comedy theatre dining

Hop aboard The Murder Express for an immersive evening of whodunnit theatrics, fun cocktails and seriously good food all wrapped up in a fast-paced mystery.
Stepping onto this glamorous train experience, you quickly become part of a dramatic murder mystery.
With your ticket in hand, the 1930s setting begins as soon as you arrive in the reception area. It’s here where you can try themed cocktails and are first introduced to some of the colourful characters joining you on board. Forgot to don your best flapper-era outfit? You can purchase a fun newspaper of the time, along with costume elements to help you get into the spirit.
The food was delicious and made with seasonal ingredients – each course brought its own exciting flavours. We could have eaten ten of the gougères amuse-bouche, the beef bordelaise just fell apart, and you can’t go wrong with a classic sticky toffee pudding.
The actors bring the story to life, with hilarious moments and surprising twists throughout. We loved trying to work out who the culprit was, and interacting with the cast on occasion made it all the more entertaining, especially when they pulled guests into the storyline.
Best for: People who enjoy a themed-dining experience and comedy theatre.
Good to know: Participation is not required but is very likely so expect the cast to interact with your table at any point during the show. Drinks are not included in the price of the ticket. Vocalé Mayfair - Best for a singalong dining experience

Where: 15 New Burlington Place, W1S 2HX
Nearest Tube: Oxford Circus (Bakerloo, Central and Victoria)
When: Saturdays and Sundays (depending on whether you book the Brunch or The Party)
Duration: Approx. 2-4 hours
Combining a delicious four-course Italian menu with live performances, Vocalé Mayfair is a unique dining experience that places guests at the heart of the show. Throughout the evening, restaurant staff burst into song, performing everything from Whitney Houston classics to crowd-pleasing Italian favourites.
The food more than holds its own alongside the entertainment. A selection of delicious starters and fluffy focaccia set the tone for the evening, while the truffle rigatoni was a particular standout. The pistachio tiramisu stole the show, however. Even if you're convinced you're too full for dessert, trust us, you'll want to make room for this one.
With napkins in the air and guests singing along from every corner of the restaurant, we loved getting involved in the curated chaos of the evening. Stay in your seat and enjoy the performances or get up and dance between courses. While the family-friendly Brunch welcomes guests of all ages, The Party is where the atmosphere really comes alive, making it our top pick for adults looking for a lively night out in Mayfair.
Best for: Couples, celebrations, group nights out and music lovers
Good to know: Vocale offers both a family-friendly brunch and the adults-focused The Party experience. Arrive early for a quieter meal and catch up over dinner, or book later if you want to be right in the middle of the action.
City Cruises London dinner cruise with live music – Best for a unique dining experience on the river Thames

Nearest Tube: Westminster (District, Circle and Jubilee) and Tower Hill (District and Circle)
When: Daily at 7.45pm
Duration: Approx. 3 hours
Travel along the Thames in style on a City Cruises Dinner Cruise with live music, taking in London’s landmarks as you’re serenaded throughout the evening.
We love how seamless it feels from the moment you board. Drinks are brought straight to your table, so there’s no queueing at a bar, and if you’re celebrating, the VIP package adds a really nice touch with priority boarding, a window seat, champagne and extra treats.
The food genuinely impressed us, with the chicken main being particularly tasty. Once dessert is served, it’s time to switch things up – finish up and head to the dance floor. The live singer keeps the energy going, and if you’re lucky, they might even take your requests.
We’d also recommend heading up to the top deck for photos, especially as you pass Tower Bridge – the team will usually give you a heads-up, so you don’t miss it.
Best for: Special occasions, date nights or group celebrations with a bit of glamour.
Good to know: Dressing up is encouraged and adds to the experience. The VIP upgrade is worth considering for the best seats and added extras. Arrive a little early for boarding.
Camden Town Brewery – Best for laid-back beer tastings and brewery tours

Nearest Tube: Westminster (District, Circle and Jubilee) and Tower Hill (District and Circle)
When: Daily at 7.45pm
Duration: Approx. 3 hours
The Camden Town Brewery Tour is a chance to go behind the scenes of London’s iconic local beer. Tucked away just off the main stretch, the space feels like a proper working brewery with a relaxed, social atmosphere.
After an insightful session in the tasting room, you’re taken through to the brewing space where you’ll learn more about the process, ingredients and what makes each beer distinct. Our favourite part was sampling some of the brewery’s lesser-known beers – the kind you’ll only find in a handful of London pubs.
Back in the Camden Beer Hall, you can use your golden token to choose a drink from the long row of taps. The Eazy IPA was a standout for us – punchy and refreshing – and pairs perfectly with the food on offer. We’d recommend the salty rosemary fries and the crispy carbonara balls.
Best for: Beer lovers who also love a bit of history.
Good to know: Hoppy Hour runs every Friday from 5–8pm, with £5 pints across the range. There’s also a monthly quiz (last Wednesday of the month) and there are live screenings for major sporting events like the Six Nations.
Guinness Brewery London – Best for fans of the famous Irish stout

Nearest Tube: Covent Garden (Piccadilly) and Leicester Square (Northern and Piccadilly)
When: Mon-Weds 10.30am-7pm, Thurs 10.30am-8pm, Fri-Sat 9.30am-8pm, Sun 11.30am-6pm
Duration: Approx. 1 hour and 30 mins
The Open Gate Guinness Brewery in London is a smaller, more intimate experience than you might expect – but that’s part of what makes it so good. It’s not trying to replicate Dublin; instead, it focuses on experimentation, with lagers, IPAs and small-batch brews developed right here in London.
We started with an introduction to the team and brewing process downstairs in the working brewery, learning how elements like yeast and nitrogen bubbles (300 million in every pint, don’t you know!) shape that final taste we know and love.
We also love that the tasting is guided but relaxed – the more questions you ask, the more you get out of it – and it’s tailored, depending on your experience. Afterwards, everyone gets the chance to pour their own pint of the black stuff, a highlight in itself.
The tour wraps up with access to a private bar space, Bar 232, where you’ve got time to enjoy even more Guinness (or some of the experimental brews) before the next group comes through. Afterwards, you can head to one of the on-site restaurants (think oyster bar, hot pies and fresh seafood) for more fresh pours if you fancy keeping things going.
Best for: Beer lovers who want a more interactive, behind-the-scenes experience.
Good to know: There’s no cloakroom, so we’d recommend travelling light. Be sure to check out the gift shop to pick up some London Guinness merch.
Outdoor and active activities
Thames Rockets Speedboat Tour – Best for thrill-seeking sightseeing

Nearest Tube: Waterloo (Jubilee, Bakerloo)
When: Tours run daily at select times between 10.30am and 6pm (seasonal changes may apply – check ahead pf booking)
Duration: Approx. 1 hour
If you’re after a sightseeing experience that mixes brilliant views with a bit of adrenaline, the Rocket Rebel speedboat tour by Thames Rockets is not to be missed.
Boarding next to the London Eye, we were already impressed by the spectacular views before we even set off. Welcomed by the friendly crew, we got a good introduction to the tour, what to expect and had a fun but thorough safety briefing. On chillier days you’ll be offered a soft blanket before heading out on the water as the breeze can be quite fresh.
Once onboard, our guide kept things entertaining, equal parts historian and comedian – sharing quirky facts as we passed landmarks including the slightly larger vessel, HMS Belfast, and glided beneath Tower Bridge, which is a view you don’t forget in a hurry.
The real highlight comes from the speed zone. With the music blasting and engine revving, the boat launches into high-speed twists and turns. Part sightseeing tour, part rollercoaster – we challenge you to not smile throughout.
Best for: Anyone who wants to mix sightseeing with a bit of adrenaline and a fun, fast-paced experience.
Good to know: You’ll be given a full safety briefing and all the gear you need before setting off, with optional blankets available on cooler days. The boats clever designed means there’s no splash zone but wearing layers is recommended.

Adrenaline junkies will get their fix at Lee Valley White Water Centre which offers a whole host of activities, from white water rafting to its Water Wipeout inflatable obstacle course on the lake.
What’s special about this north London venue is that it is the legacy venue of the London 2012 Olympics, meaning you can follow in the footsteps – or should we say paddle strokes – of the pros.
This is a high-energy day out which will likely require you to get in the water, so come prepared to get a little wet and embrace the full experience.
Best for: Adrenaline-seekers who enjoy high-energy, water-based activities.
Good to know: You’ll need to wear suitable swimwear or quick-drying clothing for most activities, and it’s worth checking individual requirements when booking as they vary by experience.
Skuna Boats – Best for unique self-drive boating on the Thames

When: Depends on the tour selected
Duration: Generally 1 hour and 30 mins
Impress your pals with a Thames experience unlike any other with Skuna, a boat tour of the vibrant Canary Wharf with a unique twist.
Whether you’re unwinding in a hot tub, warming up in a wood-fired sauna, or opting for the cosy Igloo Boat with its lamp-lit fondue experience, there’s something for every kind of outing. For hungry river revellers, the BBQ Boat is a must – gather your crew and feast as you float along the water.
The best part is that there’s an option for every season, and with no boating experience needed, anyone can play captain on these self-drive boats. That said, it’s worth deciding on your designated driver ahead of time, especially if your group is planning to have a few drinks.
We suggest bringing along a waterproof speaker so you can play some music as you cruise, and planning your route around Canary Wharf in advance (the team will help), so you can pass by its most impressive buildings and make it back in time. This will be down to your designated driver, so it’s worth deciding this ahead of your trip.
Best for: Groups looking for a more social, laid-back experience on the water.
Good to know: Wear your swimwear under your clothes if you’re opting for the hot tub or sauna – cabins are shared and there’s limited time to get changed.

When: Seasonal – usually May to September (check ahead for show times)
Duration: Approx. 2 hours to 2 hours and 30 mins
Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre is one of London’s most special experiences for anyone who loves the West End. Productions are reimagined for the outdoors, with incredible sets and choreography performed in a truly memorable setting.
We think there’s no bad seat here. Even the cheaper seats at the back still offer a great view of the stage and because the space is so intimate, you never feel too far away from the action.Wherever you sit, you’re treated to a panoramic view of the performance, with the park itself becoming part of the show.
We’d recommend arriving early to make the most of the food stalls, bar and outdoor seating areas. The pop-up restaurants often serve themed food and drinks inspired by the show, which adds to the overall experience.
Best for: Summer evenings with a mix of theatre, atmosphere and something a little different.
Good to know: Bring an extra layer as even in summer it can get chilly once the sun goes down. Queues can build before performances, so arriving early helps you settle in and enjoy the setting.

There’s also a popcorn and snack stand, meaning you can make your own sweet and savoury combo (we’d recommend throwing a few M&Ms into the mix).
The selection of films spans everything from rom-coms and action to cult classics; so, it’s worth keeping an eye out for what’s on and booking early for the films you really want to see.
Even in the summer, it can get chilly once the sun goes down, so we recommend wearing some light layers, although heaters and blankets do a good job of keeping things cosy.

At the top, you’re rewarded with panoramic views across London, which you can toast with a glass of bubbles should you fancy. On a clear day, you can see for miles, and we loved doing a bit of plane spotting as flights come in and out of London City Airport. They feel surprisingly close!

Opened to the public in 1873, this experience blends heritage and adventure. Ally Pally sits in Muswell Hill, offering views across London from 130 metres (426 ft) on a clear day.
We find that because you’re scaling the roof at a relaxing, steady pace, this offers plenty of time to soak up the skyline. Once at the top, your guide will share fascinating facts about Alexandra Palace, whose history spans more than 150 years.
Don’t miss snapping a photo by the Angel of Plenty statue, which stands proudly atop the venue, as you take in 28 of London’s 32 boroughs, including landmarks such as The Shard, London Eye and St Paul’s Cathedral.

Stepping onto the Main Deck, the scale of the masts quickly becomes clear, giving you an idea of just how high you’re about to climb. Like the sailors who once manned the ship, you’ll make your way to the top and see the vessel from a whole new perspective.
It's good to know that this climb is a bit of a physical workout, so make sure you’re comfortable with heights, but it’s totally worth it once you reach the top.
We suggest pairing your visit with a riverside lunch at the Trafalgar Tavern, followed by a walk through Greenwich Park up to the Royal Observatory Greenwich, which offers even more fantastic views.
Best for: History buffs who love a bit of adventure.
