Classical Music26 February 2012
The Roundhouse NW1 8EH[map]
Imogen Heap, the Grammy and Ivor Novello award-winning singer and electronica artist, supplies an a cappella soundtrack to the 1928 French surrealist film The Seashell and the Clergyman, here performed with UK choir the Holst Singers. Alongside this, rising star Ana Silvera brings her own uniquely heartfelt songs, exploring themes of love, war, death and mystery, to the Roundhouse accompanied by the other-worldly Baltic sounds of the Estonian Television Girls Choir in arrangements by electronic artist Max De Wardener and Estonian composer Elo Masing. The evening finishes with a collaboration between all of the performers in songs by both Imogen Heap – including Hide & Seek – and Ana Silvera, plus music from Estonia.
