Perfect music, great less packed dance floor up top and sheer awesome madness in the jungle below. Can't wait to go back, with or without out-of-towners. One might think they would skimp on bartenders as I assume alcohol isn't the prefered drug, but I've never been served faster in my life.more
Their electro line-up is impressive, and the place attracts a cool crowd. But the experience is ruined by these poor guys whose job is to scour the whole club every 5 minutes looking for glasses on the ground with flashlights. What the fuck?more
One of my favourite clubs in the city. It's up there with MoS as a great location for EDM. They consistently have a killer lineup and a fun crowd.
There are two rooms. The ground floor room is the more chilled out area. Generally less intense music, less crowded, slightly brighter and just a lot less hectic. Nice place to get a few drinks at the start of the night or just to come up...more
I was pretty impressed by XOYO following the gig I attended last night. It is located in a super convenient location (for me) down a side street close to Old Street station. Once inside you can either head straight downstairs to the venue proper or hang out in the upstairs bar. Just got back from a gig here! It's a bit weird to go to a venue that's SMACKBANG in the middle of city offices. Getting food at 7pm before a gig is pretty problematic since most places are shut at 7pm.
XOYO itself is quite a cute little venue, we were led down to the basement and it's quite small so it's far more intimate (or maybe I saw the FRIENDLIEST BAND in the world, I'm biased)...more
