The London Art Fair at the Business Design Centre

The London Art Fair showcases the works of established, emerging and often overlooked artists, as modern and contemporary galleries combine to host this annual art fair at the Business Design Centre. Other activities include talks and workshops, giving you an insight into the art world. April

Photo London at Somerset House

If photography’s more your bag, Photo London in Somerset House showcases the artform with leading galleries and publishers alongside lesser-known exhibitors. Find emerging stars in its Discovery section, look out for special exhibitions and join talks, walks and more events. May

Masterpiece London at Royal Hospital Chelsea

If you’re keen to splash out on some fine art, Masterpiece London fits the bill. Full of the finest examples of art, design, furniture and jewellery spanning centuries, it’s a great place for collectors to add more masterpieces to their portfolio or for art lovers to start their collections. London Design Festival

Design is put in focus across London at the London Design Festival each September. Spot varied works by artists, architects and designers as they pop-up in the capital and look out for dedicated “Design Districts”, which host installations and events as part of the festival. September

British Art Fair at Saatchi Gallery

The British Art Fair presents the best of modern British and contemporary art for sale, gathering top dealers to discuss the artists, their work and give specialist guidance on collecting. Full of paintings, drawings and prints by Britain’s most renowned artists, it’s a great opportunity to receive first-rate advice on collecting art. September to October

Affordable Art Fair at Battersea Park

If you’re keen to collect but not sure where to start or have a limited budget, the Affordable Art Fair is a great place to forage. Browse the galleries selling works from emerging UK artists, priced at between £50 and £6,000, and discover immersive installations at this event held in Battersea Park. October
