About

Experience the epic stage adaptation of one of the world’s most famous dystopian adventure novels and films, with The Hunger Games: On Stage at the Troubadour Canary Wharf Theatre.

Follow the journey of fearless heroine Katniss Everdeen as she defies the odds in this captivating tale of survival, courage and resilience.

What is The Hunger Games: On Stage about?

The Hunger Games: On Stage is the first theatre adaptation of Suzanne Collins’ internationally acclaimed book and Lionsgate’s motion picture “The Hunger Games”. Based on Collins’ original story and subsequent film, it follows teenage heroine Katniss Everdeen on her journey of self-discovery as she fights for survival in the dystopian world of Panam.

Every year, two children, one boy and one girl, from Panam’s 12 districts are selected via lottery and taken to a deserted island to participate in a compulsory televised death match called “The Hunger Games”.

Multi award-winning playwright Conor McPherson (Girl from the North Country, The Weir) and director Matthew Dunster have brought this powerful story to life on stage using extraordinary stunts, illusions and immersive storytelling.

This epic theatrical experience plays out within state-of-the-art new venue Troubadour Canary Wharf Theatre, which was specifically built to host this show.
