The popular after-dark Christmas event hosts a trail through the famous botanic gardens, lit up with lights and spectacular projections.

Highlights of Christmas at Kew 2024
Christmas at Kew is an unmissable activity this festive season. It's the perfect time to see seasonal favourites alongside many new mesmerising light installations, including three metre high illuminated flowers and cascading lights suspended from the tree canopy.
Installations for 2025 are yet to be revealed, here's what visitors got up to in 2024:
- Enjoyed the return of the Palm House with the spectacular light, music and water display in front of the building.
- Loved the prime selfie spot under the Christmas Cathedral with its thousands of sparkling fairy lights.
- Felt joyous and warm feelings from Threshold by Studio Vertigo's helix shapes in golden yellow light.
- Saw Ombre by TILT: giant plants in bloom, springing up from the landscape in a spectrum of vibrant shades.
- Witnessed Camellia walk transformed into a snowy lane full of wintery wonders!
- Saw Jumping fish by Dutch artists TOER and the Mist Arches by Culture Creative creating an atmospheric ambience across the lake.
- Experienced a spectacular light show on the Temperate house.
- Marvelled at an evocative Fire Garden.
- Indulged in delicious Christmas treats and winter warmers of hot chocolate or mulled wine during the trail, or enjoyed a Christmas dinner at The Botanical restaurant.
Oh, and not forgetting, visitors had a chance to say hello to Father Christmas along the way!

You should allow approximately two hours to walk the trail. Previously it has been 2.6km (1.6 miles) long.

Entry is timed at 20-minute intervals from 4.20pm. Last entry 8pm (7pm on 24 December).
Entrance to Christmas at Kew is via Victoria Gate or Brentford Gate, depending on your ticket.
