London Gatwick (LGW) is the second largest airport in the UK after Heathrow Airport. Gatwick is located 45km (28 miles) south of London.
Gatwick Airport's two terminals, North and South, both have a comprehensive selection of shops, bureaux de change, help desks and left-luggage facilities.
Gatwick Airport is installing a new inter-terminal transit system as part of the airport's £1 billion investment programme. Until May 2010, a replacement bus service is in operation between Gatwick's North and South Terminals. The service departs from the upper forecourt of both terminals every three minutes during the day (4am to 6pm) and every six minutes at night. Please allow up to 20 minutes to transfer between terminals during this period.

Gatwick Airport by Rail
The Gatwick Express is the fastest way into Central London. There are trains every 15 minutes between Gatwick Airport's South Terminal and London Victoria Station every day from 4.35am to 1.35am. Standard fares are £16.90 single and £28.80 return. Journey time is 30 minutes and the service is non-stop to Victoria station.

You can also get the Thameslink train to London Bridge, Blackfriars and St Pancras stations. Trains leave approximately every 30 minutes. A standard adult single is £9.80. The journey to London Bridge takes 40 minutes.
Southern Railway has two trains per hour during the day between Gatwick and London Bridge. The journey time is 52 minutes. A standard single ticket costs £8.70. For more details and online advance-saver fares, visit the Southern Railway website.
Gatwick Airport by Coach
National Express runs frequent services between Gatwick and Victoria Coach Station. Coaches run approximately hourly. Journey time varies according to route, most are about 1 hour 20 minutes. Some services stop at Hooley, Wallington, Mitcham Junction, Mitcham London Rd, Streatham, Stockwell and Pimlico. Standard fares are £7.30 single or £11.40 return.

Gatwick Airport by Taxi
There are usually taxis queuing for customers at London's airports. Only use a black cab or reputable mini-cab and never use unauthorised drivers. The official Gatwick taxi concession is Checker Cars. You can ask the driver for an estimate of out how much your journey will cost beforehand.
