London Southend Airport is located 64km (40 miles) from Central London.

For London Southend Airport departures: The check-in area is located at the far end of the terminal building. All passengers must clear security control before entering the departure lounge where you can find shops, a bar, restaurant, café and currency exchange. Boarding begins 45 minutes before take-off.

For London Southend Airport arrivals: After leaving the aircraft and passing through passport control, baggage reclaim is in the next hall prior to customs. Follow the exit signs and, once you are through customs, you are less than one minutes’ walk from the railway station and car parks opposite the arrivals exit.

London Southend Airport railway station is located directly opposite the passenger terminal. This provides frequent and easy access into Central London.

Trains between London Southend Airport railway station and London Liverpool Street Station (via Stratford) run daily from 04:05 to 23:05. Trains from London Liverpool Street Station to London Southend Airport run daily from 05:35 to 00:50. Trains run every 10 minutes during peak time and every 20 minutes off peak. Journey time is less than an hour.

Travelling to London Southend Airport by Coach

If you are arriving into London Southend Airport late at night, or your flight from London Southend Airport leaves early in the morning, National Express operate a night coach service which leaves at 23:45, arriving into Victoria Coach Station (via Stratford and London Liverpool Street Station) at 01:25. It also departs from London Victoria Coach Station at 03:15 and arrives at London Southend Airport at 05:10.

The First Group X30 coach runs frequent daily services between London Southend Airport and London Stansted Airport via Chelmsford. Coaches run approximately every 30 minutes.
