Lostprophets
Concert11 February 2010
O2 Academy Brixton SW9 9SL[map]
Formed in Pontypridd in the late nineties, Lostprophets were part of the flegling South Wales metal/post-hardcore scene that produced bands such as Funeral for a Friend and Bullet For My Valentine. Originally a nu-metal band with the name Lozt Prophetz, the band found recognition with their debut album Thefakesoundofprogress in 2001. However, as nu-metal drew its dying breaths, Lostprophets ditched their turntables for more trendy keyboards and synths and went on to conquer the US with their follow-up records Start Something and Liberation Transmission.
