The youngest addition to the Chez Bruce family owned by Nigel Platts-Martin and Bruce Poole, La Trompette has a fine pedigree, promising some of London’s best food. Much care has gone into creating a dining room in which visitors can feel comfortable and relaxed, and so La Trompette’s décor is chic and light with an expensive but not over the top look and a great generosity in space. Equally, while service is extremely efficient and professional it’s also friendly and natural. Most important though is La Trompette’s food, the very thing that has won the restaurant high praise ever since its opening in 2001. Predominantly inspired by the South and South West of France, La Trompette’s cuisine - pioneered by chef Anthony Boyd - is confidently sophisticated with creativity balanced against tradition for an unpretentious flavour. Surprisingly affordable, the restaurant is open for lunch and dinner throughout the week, offering a set menu for both sittings and a specially priced early dinner menu.
