About
During the London 2012 Olympics, the Aquatics Centre hosted the swimming, diving, water polo, synchronised swimming, paralympic swimming and the swim leg of the modern pentathlon.
Following the Games, the Zaha Hadid-designed building re-opened to the public in March 2014 as a swimming centre for the local community and visitors, who can make use of the two 50m pools and learn to dive in the 25m diving pool.
Other facilities at the centre include a range of classes, a fully equipped gym, crèche and café. It also continues to host a number of national and international sporting events.
