About
Pitzhanger Manor-House is a restored Georgian villa, once owned and designed by architect Sir John Soane (1753-1837). Rooms in the House continue to be restored using Soane's highly individual ideas in design and decoration.
It is West London's largest space for exhibitions of contemporary art, which are programmed year-round and sited across the Gallery and House.
The Gallery & House are also available for function hire and civil wedding ceremonies.
What will I see at Pitzhanger Manor House and Gallery?
Pitzhanger Manor in Ealing, London, was the country home of Sir John Soane, a renowned British architect who transformed it into a showcase of his neoclassical style before selling it in 1810. After serving various purposes, including as a public library, the manor underwent a major restoration and reopened in 2019, returning to its original Soane-era design.
Now operated by the Pitzhanger Manor & Gallery Trust, it serves as a cultural hub, hosting contemporary exhibitions and fostering creativity, debate, and community engagement.
Be sure to explore the nearby Walpole Park, a picturesque landscape overlooking the manor and gallery, before enjoying a moment of respite in the cafe which is set within the ground's original walled garden. What is the nearest tube station to Pitzhanger Manor?
