Lee Valley Regional Park
About
Follow the banks of the River Lea and discover open spaces, leafy woodlands and waterside locations in the Lee Valley Regional Park.
The river stretches from the Thames at East India Dock Basin to Ware in Hertfordshire, taking in Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park on its route.
Stroll or cycle through a landscape teeming with wildlife. The lakes and wet meadows of Fishers Green provide homes for a variety of birds, including ducks and lapwings, while the long grass of Lee Valley Animal Adventure Park provides the perfect setting for spotting owls and kestrels.
There’s plenty more to enjoy including urban nature reserves at Bow Creek Ecology Park and East India Dock Basin, as well as the more formal rose gardens in Waltham Abbey.
Take a leisurely cruise along the river on board a day boat hired from the Lee Valley Boat Centre. Pick up the pace with a spot of horse riding at Lee Valley Riding Centre, or try white water rafting, canoeing and kayaking at Lee Valley White Water Centre.
