The Line

Explore The Line, a free outdoor art trail that meanders through the urban landscape of east London.

The art walk runs between Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park and The O2 on Greenwich Peninsula, roughly following the line of the Greenwich Meridian.

See a changing programme of art installations against a backdrop of nature, waterways and far-reaching views of the city. Along with the pieces on loan, the trail highlights existing artwork including Antony Gormley’s Quantum Cloud, Richard Wilson’s A Slice of Reality and Anish Kapoor’s ArcelorMittal Orbit.

To walk The Line takes approximately four hours, depending on how much time is spent looking at the pieces. Artworks include Please Take a Seat by Mahtab Hussain where you can pause , reflect and take your own picture, and Here, a virtual signpost created by Thomson & Craighead, which marks 0 degrees longitude.
