What will I see on the tour?

One of London’s most diverse areas, the East End is a treasure trove of delectable British and international cuisine. On this tour you’ll get to try up to eight different food and drink items from six separate locations.  

As you wander through the vibrant area your guide will share fascinating insights about East End’s culinary history along with stories from the local artisans serving up these iconic dishes. From the classic bacon sandwich, and artisan cheese to the famous salt beef bagels at Bagel Bake, you’ll be introduced to the best the areas has to offer. 

Brick Lane is known for its array of curry houses and here you’ll sample some of the best, experiencing authentic flavours from this popular Indian cuisine. Another highlight is a British classic, as you try the British favourite fish and chips from a two-time award-winning London ‘chippy’.

The starting point for the tour is Climpson's Coffee Bar at Old Spitalfields Market, Pod 3 Old Spitalfields Market, Commercial Street, E1 6EW. 

How to get there: 

• Underground - The nearest tube station is Liverpool Street (Circle Line, the Central Line, the Hammersmith & City Line and the Metropolitan Line)  
• Bus - You can catch the following buses which stop nearby: 149, 15 205, 26, 35 

How long is the tour?

The tour will last approximately four hours. 

The tour is available daily and start times vary between 10.30am and 11.30am.

Is the tour accessible?

Please email upon booking to advise of any dietary requirements such as vegetarian and gluten free diets. It is not always possible to cater to vegan, gluten free or kosher food at many of the shops.
