East Bank

Watch as East Bank emerges as a new hub for arts, learning and creativity in Stratford.

Among the big names locating to this part of the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park are the BBC, the V&A Museum and Sadler’s Wells, while the London College of Fashion is already up and running.

The V&A will open two sites in the park, the five storey V&A East Museum and the V&A Storehouse. The latter will give visitors the chance to go behind the scenes and explore why objects are collected, how they are cared for and how they are displayed. Collections on display will change regularly and there will also be pop-up displays, workshops, performances and screenings as part of a new immersive approach.

Sadler’s Wells will bring a new cutting-edge theatre, hip-hop academy and choreographic school to the area.

Two new squares will provide shared spaces for outdoor events and public art commissions.
