About

Embark on a Blenheim Palace tour from London and choose between two experiences to complete your day trip: either visit the Churchill War Rooms or explore the picturesque Cotswolds.

Start your day trip from Victoria on a luxury, air-conditioned coach to Churchill's ancestorial home and birthplace, Blenheim Palace, in the Oxford countryside. Then hop back onto the coach to either visit the Churchill War Room in central London or two villages in the Cotswolds.

Choose your Blenheim Palace sightseeing experience

Both tour options include a guided coach trip to Blenheim Palace in Oxfordshire, Churchill's ancestorial home and birthplace. Set in more than 2,000 acres of sweeping parkland, this 18th-century Baroque masterpiece is a Unesco World Heritage Site and the only non-royal and non-religious house in England with the title of Palace.

Take in the Palace's grandeur and opulence, as you explore the lavish State Rooms, check out a special Churchill exhibition, wander around the lake and discover gardens designed by famous landscape architect Capability Brown.

For your next excursion, you can choose between the two experiences below.

Option 1: Blenheim Palace and Churchill War Rooms (until October 2026)

Step inside the Churchill War Rooms and pick up your audio guide (available in English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Hebrew, Portuguese, Polish and Mandarin).

Walk through the Cabinet Room where Churchill and his ministers took crucial decisions and marvel at all the maps lining the walls of the Map Room. After this, you’ll see staff bedrooms and a small kitchen as well as Churchill's private room with his desk and personal items.

Option 2: Blenheim Palace and the Cotswolds

Visit two charming Cotswolds villages, Burford and Bourton-on-the-Water. Burford is one of the Cotswolds’ most visited villages and is loved for its picturesque beauty and history. Stroll along its famous high street leading downhill to river Windrush with its medieval three-arched bridge, or take a peek at St John’s church.

Known as “the Venice of the Cotswolds” because of its outstanding beauty and riverside setting, Bourton-on-the-Water is a charming village with honey-coloured architecture, cosy pubs and friendly locals.
