About

Discover the Jamaica Wine House tucked away in St Michael's Alley, part of a lDiscover the Jamaica Wine House tucked away in St Michael's Alley, part of a labyrinth of charming medieval courts and alleys off Cornhill and Lombard Street in the City.

Known affectionately as "the Jampot", the pub sits on the site of London's first coffee house which opened in 1652 and was visited by Samuel Pepys. It retains many original features including the 19th century cooker once used to roast coffee beans.

The ground floor pub serves a wide selection of traditional Kentish cask ales, as well as international lagers and a good choice of wines. In the basement, Todd's Wine Bar dates back to 1869 and is full of Victorian character with its wood-panelled bar and high ceilings.

Share a bowl of homemade nachos with friends while reflecting on the pub’s rich and colourful history.
