What is the Nations Championship in rugby?
The Nations Championship is a men's rugby competition debuting in 2026.
Set to take place every two years, teams from the Northern and Southern Hemispheres play to win the grand finale and take home the Nations Championship Trophy. Each final result also contributes towards the larger goal of proving which hemisphere reigns supreme and holds the Hemisphere Shield!
What teams are in the rugby Nations Championship 2026?
A total of 12 teams from each Hemisphere are set to compete across the final weekend.
The Northern Hemisphere group includes England, Ireland, France, Scotland, Wales and Italy.
The Southern Hemisphere group includes South Africa, New Zealand, Australia, Argentina, Fiji and Japan.
What date is the Nations Championship final?
The Grand Finale between the first teams from each group will kick off at 4.40pm on Sunday 29 November.
All final matches will take place at London's Allianz Stadium in Twickenham.
