What is Matthew Bourne’s Cinderella about?

Taking place in wartime London in 1940, Matthew Bourne's production of Cinderella reimagines one of the great classic fairy tales, this time following a young Cinderella as she falls into a whirlwind romance against the backdrop of the Second World.

When Cinderella has a chance encounter with a dashing young RAF pilot, little does she know that she is about to embark on an epic love story. Falling head over heels, the pair have only a short time together before the horrors of war threaten to tear them apart.

Evening performances take place on Tuesdays to Saturdays at 7.30pm and matinees are on Thursdays and Saturdays at 2.30pm, and Sunday performances are scheduled for 2pm.
