About

Prepare to experience the terrifying story of Paranormal Activity brought to life on stage at London’s Ambassadors Theatre. Inspired by Oren Peli's film series, this 20-week limited run is not to be missed.

This spine-tingling stage adaptation is set to deliver an eerie experience filled with unsettling suspense, in a thriller that is sure to captivate London theatregoers.

What is the plot of Paranormal Activity in London?

Hold your nerve…

Meet American couple James and Lou as they move from Chicago to London to escape their troubled past. However, they soon discover that it is not the place that is haunted, but rather the people, as they become consumed by a supernatural presence in their new home. As night falls, eerie sounds echo through the house and objects move around, leaving the couple dreading sleep.

Determined to uncover the truth, the couple set up a camera to record the ghostly presence haunting them. What starts as a simple experiment quickly evolves into a tormenting obsession, blurring the lines between reality and horrifying projections.

First staged at Leeds Playhouse in 2024, the world premiere was described as a standout performance in the horror genre, defying convention with its set of mind-blowing illusions and innovative staging. The production promises chilling and spectacular performances in the West End.

Highlights of Paranormal Activity theatre show

Paranormal Activity is set to startle and unnerve audiences in its first live stage adaptation, based on the film and series of the same name. It brings one of the most frightening films to the live stage.

The live show is not a remake of the 2007 film but rather inspired by it. It brings a brand new story to the stage, which is sure to result in a few jump scares. Expect exceptional staging, unsettling special effects and wildly mysterious storytelling to create a frightening experience.

Who is in the cast of Paranormal Activity London?

This play is written by David Holloway, the playwright behind the sold-out Broadway production Grey House, who has joined forces with Punchdrunk founder Felix Barrett. Together, they are restaging the horror plot of Paranormal Activity.

The London cast of Paranormal Activity features Melissa James (Moulin Rouge!, A Midsummer Night's Dream) reprising her role as Lou. She is joined on stage by Patrick Heusinger (Fiddler on the Roof), also reprising his role as James and making his West End debut.

Pippa Winslow (Bonnie and Clyde, Eureka Day) joins the cast as Carolanne, while Jackie Morrison (Dirty Dancing, Coronation Street) plays Etheline Cotgrave. Both are reprising their roles from the Leeds production of Paranormal Activity.
