About
Following its successful West End debut in 2021, Mark Gatiss’s reimagining of Dickens’s A Christmas Carol: A Ghost Story returns to the prestigious Alexandra Palace Theatre this Christmas for a strictly limited run.
See the chilling tale brought to life with breathtaking effects, as timeless themes of redemption and goodwill unfold in a hauntingly immersive Victorian world.
What is A Christmas Carol: A Ghost Story about?
Much like Charles Dickens’s 1843 novella, Mark Gatiss’s A Christmas Carol: A Ghost Story brings the chilling tale of Ebenezer Scrooge to life.
Set on a bitterly cold Christmas Eve, the show sees Scrooge visited by the ghost of his former business partner Jacob Marley, who is bound is chains as punishment for his greed in life. Soon, Scrooge learns of his own grim fate, but not before encountering three more eerie spirits: the ghosts of Christmas past, present and future.
Expect eye-popping effects including projections, puppetry, soundscapes and dynamic lighting in this immersive, festive production.
