Ncuti Gatwa and Edward Bluemel star in this new play by Liz Duffy Adams and directed by RSC Co-Artistic DirectorDaniel Evans.
What is Born with Teeth about?
Set in England 1591, in the midst of political unrest and religious struggles, two young and brilliant writers meet in a dark backroom of a pub. Christopher Marlowe, the bold and reckless state-employed playwriter, meets ambitious newcomer William Shakespeare over a course of three secret meetings.
Enter a world of rivalry, flirtation and creative passion and watch as “personal, political and poetic” boundaries are tested. With eyes everywhere, the more they connect the bigger the danger becomes to their names and lives.
Born with Teeth is split into two acts filled with humour, tension, erotic undertones and the dangerous fusion of genius, desire and fear, in a time when one's words can end everything.
