What is Dirty Dancing about?
In the summer of 1963, Frances "Baby" Houseman is at a holiday resort in the Catskill Mountains with her older sister and parents. Having very little interest in the activities organised by the resort, Baby discovers a different world as she wanders into the staff quarters. Mesmerised by the sensual dance moves and the frenzied rhythms, Baby has only one thing on her mind – to be part of it! Especially after she catches a glimpse of Jonny Castle the resort’s dance instructor.
While taking dance lessons, Baby falls in love with Johnny who takes her as his female lead on and off-stage, causing tensions between Baby and her family.
