What is Dirty Dancing about?
In the summer of 1963, Frances "Baby" Houseman is at a holiday resort in the Catskill Mountains with her older sister and parents. Having very little interest in the activities organised by the resort, Baby discovers a different world as she wanders into the staff quarters.
Mesmerised by the sensual dance moves and the frenzied rhythms, Baby has only one thing on her mind – to be part of it! Especially after she catches a glimpse of Johnny Castle the resort’s dance instructor. While taking dance lessons, Baby, mesmerised by Johnny’s dance moves, falls in love with Johnny who takes her as his leading lady, on and off-stage, causing tensions between Baby and her family.
