Who plays Tina Turner in the London musical?
Karis Anderson currently plays Tina Turner in TINA: The Tina Turner Musical, with theatre credits including playing the role of Diana Ross in Motown and PP Arnold in All Or Nothing.
Her musical roots began in the band Stooshe, with Black Heart spending more than 16 weeks in the Official UK Charts and receiving a nomination for Best British Single at the 2013 BRIT Awards. The band also went on to tour with female power-icons J-Lo and Nicki Minaj.
Zoe Birkett also shares the role of Tina, with theatre credits including playing the role of Rachel in The Bodyguard Musical and Arabia and Satine in the original cast of Moulin Rouge.
Her talent extends beyond performing as she became the winning female contestant of ITV’s Pop Idol in 2002 at 16 years old. Her video Get Happy went straight in at number one as she signed a record deal with Simon Fuller’s 19 Management.
