The Princess Diana Playground in London
Avast me hearties! Your little landlubbers can be pirates for the day on Captain Hook's huge wooden pirate ship at the Diana, Princess of Wales Memorial Playground.
Everyone loves this imaginative play area. Nestled between the trees in Kensington Gardens, it's inspired by J M Barrie's novel, Peter Pan.
Designed to be accessible and inspiring, kids love playing in the teepees, on the beach, and running between the sculptures.

Somerford Grove Adventure Playground

The Somerford Grove Adventure Playground in Hackney is just what kids want. How do we know? They designed it!
Hanging out on the climbing nets and swinging about on the swings is so exciting. There's an eco-friendly theme to this playground as well as a nature area with a pond, stream and fruit trees. Young adventurers will also be thrilled by the chance to build a den.

Take under 8's to the adventure playground in Horton Park Children's Farm.
Coram's Fields is a seven acre site devoted to childrens play and includes a sand pit and sensory play area. There's also fun to be had at Bushy Park, near Hampton Court.

Accessible Playgrounds in London
Some adventure playgrounds are designed to welcome children with disabilities and those who may need to be supervised. These playgrounds ensure that every child can have a fantastic outdoor adventure.
The Log Cabin in Ealing is for children aged 4-15 and sessions can be booked in advance. Go on an adventurous treasure hunt at north east London's elhap. it's for kids and adults with disabilities. Contact the centres for more information.
