Accommodation Ratings

Enjoy England regulates the quality assessment scheme across England. Each establishment is inspected annually by a professional assessor and a star-rating awarded. The rating, between one and five, is an indication of the level of comfort and service you can expect to receive.

Since January 2006, all of the awarding bodies (VisitBritain, VisitScotland, Visit Wales and the AA) have been using a common set of standards. This gives visitors the confidence to book accommodation knowing exactly the standard of service and comfort they can expect to receive. Below is a brief description of the ratings and the accommodation they apply to.
