Also a private members club, the venue was once home to Karl Marx who is believed to have started writing Das Kapital in one of the upstairs rooms.
Take a seat in the charming dining room where stained-glass windows and quirky illustrations create a welcoming atmosphere.
From lunch to dinner, the menu includes beautifully curated dishes, from classic pies to smoked-eel sandwiches. Don’t forget dessert! Sweet treats such as almond tart and chocolate profiteroles are not to be missed.
