The award-winning Rosemary Branch Theatre in Islington was once a Victorian music hall, so theatre and performance are soaked into its beams and rafters.
Legend suggests that Charlie Chaplin and Marie Lloyd (as well as many others) performed here.
Today, the Rosemary Branch team are dedicated to producing an eclectic mix of of entertainment and providing a safe and supportive place for all areas of emerging talent. The intimate studio space seats around 60 people.

To be fair, this review is only for the pub food. I swing by early Saturday afternoon to only a few people inside, but the atmosphere was traditionally pub-cosy. So, confessions. I thought I was coming to the Rosemary Branch Theatre to see a play, imagine my surprise when I realised it was a pub beneath. So you can have a cosy pub dinner and then head on upstairs to see the show. Now the play area is TINY, maybe 20 - 30 seats max and the show was full so we were crammed in. If you enjoy immersive theatre, then this is the place for you.

Love this little corner of creativity and relax just off Shoreditch park. Whether you're in for a pint and some live music or for their awesome theatre pub shows, the Rosemary Branch is a gem that you shouldn't overlook. more
My friend and I recently came here to see a show. Not realizing that the show would last over two hours, we were absolutely starved after the show. We came here to see a production of "The Losers" - a play based on reality Tv and a group of rounds who would do anything to be famous.
