About
Enjoy a royally inspired dining experience at The Orangery at Kensington Palace.
Treat yourself to breakfast, dinner or the classic British favourite, afternoon tea, in these beautiful surroundings. The afternoon tea menu includes traditional scones with clotted cream and strawberry preserve and Queen Victoria’s famous Victoria sponge cake, also served with plenty of cream and jam.
When the weather is good, the sunny terrace is the place to sit back and take in the views of Kensington Palace.
The Orangery has a rich history, from its origins as Queen Anne’s lavish greenhouse designed by Nicholas Hawksmoor and enhanced by Sir John Vanbrugh, to its restoration and transformation into an elegant restaurant and terrace. Look out for the ornate carvings by famous sculptor Grinling Gibbons at either end of the room.
