Discover the fascinating history of Markfield Beam Engine & Museum, a family-friendly attraction in Tottenham.
Head to this riverside park location and learn about the industrial heritage of this former sewage treatment works. The centrepiece of the museum is a working steam-powered engine, commissioned in July 1888 and housed in a grade II-listed engine hall.
Activity sheets are designed to involve and inspire younger visitors and there’s also a child-friendly area with toys and tools. Volunteers lead free guided tours on most days which are bookable on arrival.
