V&A East Museum
About
Head to the V&A East Museum in Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, where history meets contemporary culture.
Spread across five floors, the museum is home to more than 500 objects that shed light on how creativity changes the world.
The two free permanent galleries feature collection items representing fashion, design, art, architecture and performance. Modern pieces such as Vivienne Westwood’s 1990 Cut, Slash & Pull collection sit alongside historical items including a 17th-century gown by east London textile designer Anna Maria Garthwaite.
Also on display are environmentally responsible pieces from planet conscious fashion brand VIN + OMI, including eco-textiles made from stinging nettles and pioneering fabric designs from Althea McNish.
V&A East Museum opening times
