Where and what time does the tour start?

The tour departs at 10am daily and finishes around 12pm.

The meeting point for this tour is Buckingham Gate, Tourist Bus Stop, SW1A 1AA (outside King's Gallery, previously known as Queen's Gallery). The nearest Underground stations are Victoria (Victoria, Circle and District lines) and Green Park (Victoria, Jubilee and Piccadilly lines). Please arrive five to 10 minutes before your departure time, as your guide will start the tour at 10am sharp.

How long is the Changing of the Guards tour?

This tour lasts approximately two hours passing by numerous famous landmarks like the Duke of York column and parks like St James Park as well as Green Park. During the tour you have ample opportunities to take pictures especially of the guards and Buckingham Palace.

The duration of the tour allows for enough time to ask any question you might have about the Royal Palace or the different sights you pass by. Make sure to sear comfortable shoes as the tour passes over cobble stones and other types of pavements.

How many times a day do the guards change at Buckingham Palace?

The Changing of the Guards happens once a day at 10.45am and the ceremony lasts for 45 minutes. The event can be cancelled at short notice due to bad weather conditions.
