About
Explore the remains of the London Mithraeum, an ancient temple built to celebrate the Roman God Mithras.
Start by learning about the history of the site through information boards and a fascinating selection of Roman artefacts uncovered during the excavation of the site. Then descend to the temple ruins seven metres (23ft) below street level.
The ruins are a faithful recreation of the ruins discovered in 1954, brought to life through a misty haze, dim lighting and the sound of hushed voices and faint footsteps.
Pre-booking is advised, although not required.
