What is there to see at the museum?
See displays of written and art history, which describe the prison and the incredible historical events that took place in Bankside – including plots against the crown and the Mayflower.
The scandalous past of this notorious prison, which dates back to 1144, is told through recorded audio stories, themed rooms and replica artefacts, including gory torture tools.

How can I get there?
The closest Tube and Rail station is London Bridge, which serves Jubilee and Northern Underground lines and mainline rail services to south-east England.
Or, arrive in style aboard an Uber Boat by Thames Clippers, which stops at Bankside Pier every 20-30 minutes. The museum is only 10 minutes' walk from the pier.

Adult tickets cost £8 each, while child, senior and student tickets cost £6.

July to September:
Daily 10am-9pm.
October to June:
Monday – Friday 10am-6pm.
Saturday – Sunday: 10am-6pm.
