Elegant, Michelin starred Quilon doesn't shout about its refined menu of South Indian coastal cuisine, which specialises in tangy seafood; it's far too discreet. Appealingly decorated in a muted palette, with wicker-backed chairs adding to the colonial air, the restaurant attracts business diners and social gatherings in equal parts to its well-heeled St. James's location. The team at Quilon use only the best ingredients and cooking techniques to ensure that each dish highlights their collective passion for home-style Indian cuisine. Always looking for ways to innovate, Quilon often experiments with combining modern and traditional elements of South Indian cuisine to ensure that a unique range of dishes can be found on the menu. The renowned seafood dishes include the Spiced Grilled Red Snapper, Koondapur Fish Curry and Pan Fried Lobster with Kashmundi Mustard Cream Sauce and Spices. For the perfect accompaniment to your meal, you can also choose from an extensive selection of drinks from the wine list, which was recognised in 2009 with Wine Spectator's prestigious Award of Excellence.

Popped into Quilon for dinner after a long day at work. Had couple of colleagues joining me and I offered to treat them to food from my land.
I didn't look up the restaurant on Yelp or Google just got there. No Menu was displayed outside so no idea how pricey it was. Upon entering the reception staff greeted us and took our coats. The Maitre d' took us to our table and we were encouraged to... more
The absolute best Indian food I've ever had. It was fancy and different from the usual Indian food (chicken tikka, lamb saag, etc.). I expected to get some out-of-this-world curry and naan, but glad it wasn't the case.
We ordered several entrees as recommended by the server:
Mango ginger chicken
Baked black cod
Braised lamb shank
Coconut with asparagus and snow peas
Every single... more
This is one of our favorite restaurants when we visit London.
This is not your typical Indian restaurant. They specialize in Southwest coastal Indian cuisine. I am typically not a huge fan of Indian food. However, we both love this restaurant! You must try the tasting menu. The various and distinct flavors are wonderful. And, the presentation is fantastic.
This is a true fine dining... more
Visiting from out of town and went here with my coworker to try out Indian food in London as we heard good things. I love Indian food and spent some time in India as well on a volunteer trip years ago and often think back to my yummy food experiences there.... like cheese naan, oregano naan, chai marsala in the evening, no vindaloo being available as its not actually Indian at all but wanting... more
Highly recommended! Service impeccable! The manager went out of his way to make us feel special. The food concept itself was unique and interesting. A modern flare to Indian food. I didn't even smell curry when I walked in. My partner not a huge fan of Indian food but he loved every dish here. The lamb the server recommended was outstanding, so tender and the sauce was a perfect pair with meat. more
