Step into an oasis of calm at Chiswick House and Gardens.
The house is an elegant example of British 18th-century architecture, designed by architect William Kent and Richard Boyle, the third Earl of Burlington.
Wander through the sumptuous rooms and admire the highly decorated ceilings, ornate furniture and paintings, many from the original collection. Look out for pieces designed by William Kent, including a spectacular pair of marble-topped tables, while upstairs you’ll find the striking Blue Velvet and Red Velvet Rooms.
Outside, the house is surrounded by beautiful Italianate classical gardens. With their statuary and half-hidden temples, they form a perfect setting for the house.
