The Tabard Theatre is an intimate, 96-seat theatre in Chiswick, West London.
Opened in 1985 above the Tabard Pub, a popular and historic local landmark, the Tabard Theatre quickly built a strong reputation for new writing.
The theatre now hosts all kinds of live entertainment from classical adaptations to new musical works and contemporary revivals. It enjoys the support of a loyal local audience and, thanks to its location, visitors from all over the world.
In recent years, the Tabard has developed strong relationships with comedy agents and is regularly used as a venue for comedians such as Al Murray, Russell Howard, Chris Addison and Dara O'Briain.

A cosy theatre venue that you don't expect to be hidden behind the pub! It's a modest size - maybe 60 people - so feels really intimate, and with the tiers sloping upwards quite sharply everyone gets a clear view. Great local theatre located above the Tabard pub.
There is often really good plays on there, coming up Al Murray is doing some warm up shows!
It's convienient location means that you can enjoy a drink and a meal at the Tabard before the performance.
It is worth supporting as the Authorities have been trying to get it closed down. more
I went to the Tabard Theatre last Monday to see the brilliant Russell Kane perform and thought it was a fabulous venue. It is very intimate and probably seats around 50 people, so you're really in the thick of the action, and the acoustics are great.
