The critically acclaimed production explores the complexities of family dynamics during a wedding in a former mining town, delivering a perfect blend of hilarity and heartbreak.

Beth Steel’s critically acclaimed Till the Stars Come Down returns to the stage at Theatre Royal Haymarket this July. This highly anticipated production previously saw Steel win an Olivier Award for Best New Play in 2024, with Lorraine Ashbourne receiving an award for Best Actress in a Supporting Role for her portrayal of drunken Auntie Carol. 

The heartwarming, thought-provoking show follows Sylvia and Marek on their wedding day on a hot summer’s day. The family gathers to celebrate and welcome Marek as its newest member, but as the drinks are poured and the sun sets, underlying tensions begin to surface, testing the true boundaries of love.  

This captivating show delves into the complexities of family dynamics and highlights the challenges of family bonds in an ever-evolving world. 

Who is in the cast of Till the Stars Come Down?  

The cast hasn’t been revealed yet. Previously, the National Theatre production starred Marc Wootton (Nativity), Lisa McGrillis (Rivals) and Lorraine Ashbourne (Bridgerton).  

The original creative team is taking the show to the West End. Director Bijan Sheibani is joined by costume and set designer Samal Blak, lighting designer Paule Constable and sound designer Gareth Fry
