About

What is The Devil Wears Prada about?

The West End stage adaptation of The Devil Wears Prada follows aspiring journalist Andy at a cutthroat fashion magazine with an equally terrifying editor-in-chief. Discover high fashion, glamour and enough drama to rival the cult classic film.

Follow Andy fresh out of college as she scores a job at the prestigious Runway magazine, working for fashion's most powerful and terrifying icon, editor-in-chief Miranda Priestly. Seduced by the glamorous world of fashion and sacrificing her personal life to meet Miranda's impossible demands, Andy questions the consequences of her success and discovers what kind of person she truly wants to be.

Why you should see The Devil Wears Prada

This musical comedy full of glitzy sets and well-loved characters features original music by Sir Elton John, lyrics by Shaina Taub and extraordinary choreography from multi award-winning director Jerry Mitchell.

Songs such as House of Miranda, Dress Your Way Up and How to Survive at Runway have won the hearts of the public, becoming showstoppers. A recent recording of these songs by the original cast, including Amy Di Batolomeo (nominated for an Olivier Award for her portrayal of Emily), has thrilled fans.

The Devil Wears Prada cast

Teri Hatcher (Desperate Housewives, Lois & Clark, Tomorrow Never Dies) steps into the stilettos of Miranda Priestly, the multifaceted editor-in-chief and difficult boss to assistant Andy Sachs, portrayed by Jenna Bonner (Tina: The Musical).
