Sleep within roaring distance of the lions at London Zoo with a stay in a London Zoo Lodge in the Land of the Lions.
Each cosy lodge is traditionally decorated and is named after an animal from the Gir Forest in Gujarat, India, home to the only wild population of Asiatic lions. Look out for the scratch marks on the tree in the centre of the lodge area, evidence that this was once the tiger enclosure.
Enjoy a complimentary drink upon arrival before embarking on two after-hours tours of the zoo, one at sunset and one after dark. Wake up to the sounds of the animals and get ready to soak up some fascinating facts about the zoo on an exclusive morning tour that includes a meet-and-greet session with a zookeeper. The experience also includes breakfast, a two-course dinner and free access to London Zoo either side of your stay.
In December, the lodges take on a festive feel with seasonal decorations, wintry treats and marshmallow-toasting around a campfire.
