What to expect at Hogwarts in the Snow

Over the festive period, winter arrives at the wizarding world and brings with it a truly magical makeover. Hogwarts in the Snow London captures the charm of the films, with Christmas trees lining the Great Hall, a replica festive feast complete with flaming puddings laid out on the long tables, and icy silvers glittering on the stage for the return of the Yule Ball.

Get up close to props, costumes and models used in the Harry Potter films, then wander through the Harry Potter Studio Christmas sets, all dressed for the season. You can even find out how different types of artificial snow, ice and fire were created and used in the films.

Around the rest of the studio, special-effect fires roar in the fireplaces, the Gryffindor Common Room and the Boys' Dormitory are filled with Christmas decorations, and the detailed Hogwarts Castle model is blanketed in snow. Plus, Diagon Alley looks even more wintry with a dusting of snow on its cobbles and shopfronts – it's truly Harry Potter in the snow.

The Forbidden Forest also receives a seasonal makeover, with filmmakers' snow draped across the trees.
