Known for its mind-bending illusions and selfie-worthy spaces, Paradox Museum has quickly become one of London’s most exciting immersive attractions since its opening.

Now, one year on, it's celebrating in style with themed exhibits, neon décor and a host of new summertime activities designed especially for kids.

As a big fan of immersive experiences, and having visited Paradox Museum before, I couldn’t resist checking out the transformation. Get ready to challenge your senses, question reality and rediscover the joy of curiosity… all with a tropical twist!

Escape to the summer of Paradox

The tropical vibes hit as soon as you arrive at the museum based in London’s Knightsbridge. A beach-themed entrance and a 3D optical illusion swimming pool spill into the central event space, already setting the tone for a visual holiday.

Familiar rooms are now bursting with exotic greenery and vibrant neon touches, with fresh, colourful updates to popular zones like Infinite Cosmos and Park Room. Having visited when it first opened, the summer makeover makes the experience feel completely new – playful, inviting and absolutely worth a revisit.

A summer playground for young explorers

Paradox Museum has always been an immersive wonderland for kids, and this summer it’s really levelled up. A standout feature of the seasonal revival is the Passport Safari Game – a brand-new scavenger-style adventure designed to spark imagination. Children can follow clues, collect stamps and solve puzzles as they move through the museum’s most mind-twisting rooms.

If they’re after even more excitement, the Dragon’s Nest is the museum’s new party space. Expect games, face painting, balloon artists, magicians and a whole load of joyful chaos.

Illusions, experiments and awe around every corner

With over 50 interactive installations, there’s no shortage of head-scratching, sense-defying entertainment. From warped mirrors to gravity tricks, you’ll test your perceptions of colour, shape, sound and space.

Top tip: Wear your brightest outfit that will stand out against the illusions for the best possible photo.

A highlight for any Londoner? The Underground illusions. The Paradox Tunnel, for instance, makes walking a straight line wildly difficult as spinning walls wreak havoc with your sense of direction – guaranteeing plenty of laughs!

Then there’s the flipped tube station, Paradox Underground Station, where everything’s upside down. Strike a pose hanging from a tube carriage or gripping a topsy-turvy announcement sign – be camera-ready at all times.

Make sure to finish with a spin through Zero Gravity, where it looks like you’re floating weightlessly like an astronaut while the room rotates around you. It’s sci-fi surrealism and a video you’ll want to be showing off in your camera roll!

Whether you’re snapping neon selfies, diving into mind-boggling illusions or watching your kids beam with delight, Paradox Museum’s tropical celebration is the perfect way to spend a sunny afternoon. And with new additions just for children, there’s no chance of anyone getting bored.
