About
Perched atop the renowned National Portrait Gallery, The Portrait Restaurant by Richard Corrigan serves contemporary British cuisine and offers unparalleled panoramic views of Trafalgar Square and the Houses of Parliament.
The restaurant's light and airy ambiance features a heritage green colour palette that harmonises with the gallery's hues. Custom hand-sewn fabric panels by De Gournay, a renowned British brand known for hand-painted wallpapers, depict the iconic building's exterior. The walls are adorned with portraits of writers, musicians, and poets with connections to Ireland.
The menu pays homage to classic dishes from Corrigan's career while introducing new signature items that highlight the finest land and sea offerings, showcasing Chef Corrigan's dedication to simplicity, seasonality, and sustainability. Signature dishes include Gazpacho, Courgette Cream, Native Lobster, and Steamed Dover Sole, Wild Mushroom, Samphire. Classic sides like chips and olive oil mash are also available, and a set menu offers two courses of central London's best cuisine for £34, all while savouring stunning views of Trafalgar Square.
At the bar, guests are treated to some of London's most stunning views while savouring a selection of bar snacks, classic and unique cocktails, and a modern selection of bar snacks to pair. Delight in a signature cocktail such as a Salt & Vinegar Martini or Chilli Pepper Margarita as the sun sets over the skyline.
