Why is Church Street so awesome? The Good Egg has a big part in that. How to describe this Israeli influenced brunch restaurant with all of its interesting choices? Breakfast in pita buns are all very delicious and have the right mix of savoury and fresh.
You can also get the big breakfast and choose two to three items to try a handful of treats, again all very delicious.

So many flavors, the food was incredible and way beyond our expectations. The fresh bread was particularly outstanding. We can't wait to go back and try the other dishes. (We visited the new Soho location). more
This is probably my favourite restaurant in London. The service is great and the food a drinks imaginative and different. Try the pickle back, the fried chicken and of course the best babka in the UK. more
The Good Egg is new. New in a lot of ways. It's new to Stoke Newington (after having been delayed for about a year). And it's new to the cuisine scene in London - Mediterranean, Californian food. It's a combination I've never heard of but enjoyed.
It's still in it's soft opening phase so I'm not going to judge it too harshly for things like service (which could have been better). The food... more
Fabulous dinner and for London, great service. My husband and I had dinner this past Saturday night. We split the sourdough with date butter. The bread - four good-sized pieces- had the perfect chewy texture. The butter is creamy and spreads easily on the bread; it tastes perfect, with date flavour but not too sweet.
