About
Take a stroll through Victoria Park in Tower Hamlets, which has been welcoming visitors since 1845.
The park was originally designed as a space for the East End’s working people to enjoy and is now a centre for community activities, live music, sports and other events.
Within the park there are beautiful gardens to wander through. The Old English Garden features lush lawns, clipped hedges and plenty of roses. There’s a Floral Sunken Garden with flower beds arranged to give a tiered effect, and raised beds for plants, vegetables and herbs in the Outdoor Classroom, a space for workshops and talks.
The Orchard Meadows is full of grasses, wildflowers and fruit trees, attracting birds and insects while the Burdett-Coutts Fountain Garden has four mirror pools which reflect the Grade II-listed fountain.
Let the kids loose in one of the two play areas or hire a pedalo for a peaceful afternoon on the lake.
