What can you see at the Peter Harrison Planetarium?
As London's only planetarium, there is plenty to see and experience for people of all ages. Catch a live planetarium show, get involved with immersive science experiments, attend an expert-led talk, and much more!
Planetarium shows
The planetarium hosts a number of regular shows at varying times throughout the day, along with special shows each month and unique events around the holidays.
Daily shows include We Are Guardians, an immersive exploration into safeguarding the planet and The Sky Tonight, which is a classic guide to the night sky presented live by a Royal Observatory Greenwich astronomer.
On the weekends and during the holidays families can join Ted's Space Adventure, a special live planetarium show for those aged seven and under.
How long is the Peter Harrison Planetarium show?
Show timings may vary depending on which show audiences attend but are usually no longer than 30 minutes.
Shows at the planetarium generally run everyday except on maintenance days and from 24 to 26 December.
What age is Peter Harrison Planetarium for?
Ted's Space Adventure is the only show suitable for children aged seven and under. All other public shows are recommended for adults and families with children aged seven and above.
Younger siblings aged five and above may be admitted, provided parents understand the show may not be suitable.
Children under five will not be admitted to any planetarium show and all children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult.
How to book tickets?
Shows at the planetarium are very popular so it is recommended to book tickets in advance to avoid disappointment. Purchasing tickets on the day is subject to availability.
